I cannot believe that the Rady Shell allowed Neil Young to dictate venue procedures. No video monitors. Seriously! A lack luster performance with him wandering around on stage with a poorly conceived playlist and barely a familiar tube. In addition, he’s blaming the audience for not getting into it. Rady has had some fabulous entertainment at what is clearly a world class venue. This night was a waste of time and money. Did I mention it cost 47$ for two CANS of wine?

LOST MY PATIENCE
Grew up listening to Neil, After the Gold Rush -I was hoping to hear songs from that, at least a few or half classic, but that did not happen. I think what bothered me the most was the fumbling around, acting way to casual, like, Oh, you guys are still here?- I feel bad for people who spent a lot of money to see him. If he's tired, he should not perform. Sorry.

I KNOW NEIL KNOWS
Attended his Oxbow performance last night. I didn’t see what I came to hear or see. It seems like he wants his new music to be as popular as the famous tunes. That’s not going to ever happen in my opinion. So, if I want to see Neil Young moving forward it’s YouTube for me. I miss the old Neil and the tunes he made famous around the world!

SAD
I was so excited that we got tickets for the Neil Young concert in Napa. We paid $250 a ticket, that’s a lot for us. We made the long drive and was ready for a cocktail. The drinks were so expensive, it was ridiculous. They only had him three food trucks, there as no snack foods offered. The T-shirts were $50 apiece. I thought it was all too much for what we got. We waited and waited for him to come on stage. When he did, it seemed like it was over before you knew it. I was sad, and very disappointed. I didn’t get to hear the music I came to hear.
I will say, I did see him sing !

SO DISAPPOINTED
If I had known he was only going to sing a bunch of boring unknown songs I never would of spent $350 for 2 tickets. For a guy who is anti-government you’d think he’d deliver a decent product to his paying audience. Then the stage at oxbow Napa was so low that we could hardly see him. I do not recommend anyone buy tickets to his concert this year.

VERY DICTATED
Very disappointed. I have wanted to see Neil since my first CSN concert 45 years ago. Was so excited to drink a beer and sit back and listen to the music that has been in my heart for most of my life. When we first got to the venue we went to grab drinks to find the venue was only selling items that Neil allowed them to sell. All organic, no beer, and extremely expensive. I understand him wanting to introduce people to a cleaner lifestyle, but when it's forced on you because all other options are removed, not good. So we pick a canned drink with no clue what it was and paid $18 each. It ended up being spiked grapefruit juice. The concert was to start at 7:30. At 7:45 a preacher and choir came out and preached about the environment for 30 minutes. Finally Neal came on without acknowledging that he left us all waiting. To save energy the entire stadium went dark so no big screens and only people very close could see. A couple good songs, but socialism was the theme and we paid for it.

NEIL YOUNG PHOENIX
My friends and I were so horribly disappointed in the very short concert . We recognized 4 mediocre songs , not any of his famous songs . I kept waiting for Harvest Moon , unknown legend , Old Man among others , no we just got a garage band sounding acoustic mix that didn’t mesh together . The biggest disappointment was no large screens . We only saw what looked like lighted stick figures . No interaction with the audience , he never introduced his band . It was a cold feeling, like we weren’t there , he was just jamming in the studio. Even at the end I kept thinking after a little more than an hour playing , this can’t be done ,
People were leaving , some were booing. Then the encore , they just jammed one song , no singing 2 or 3 songs we knew . I have never gone to a concert before where I felt so let down . We were leaving the grounds at 10:15! I have seen The Stones, Eagles , Heart plus many more , where the stage sets were a piece of work , such energy that got the crowd engaged and the big screens showing it all so you could see . We could have stayed in the parking lot and just sat in our car and listened ! Save your money , unless Neil decides to use the large screens ,like all other major productions, the crowd will not feel engaged. I wish I would have taken the time to have read the reviews at the California show . Very disappointing , to say the least .
