What is A Midsummer Night's Dream about?
Athens is busy in preparing for Duke Theseus and Hippolyta's (an Amazon Queen) impending nuptials which is to take place in the nearby woodland which also doubles up as a magical fairy kingdom. Outraged by not being able to choose who they marry four young lovers (Hermia, Helena, Demetrius and Lysander) escape to the forest in order to gain their independence from their families.
Oberon and Titania (the King and Queen of the fairy kingdom) in an almighty row. Constantly trying to one-up each other Oberon sets his most trusted pixie, Puck, on a devious mission. After yet more confusion Puck changes the course of the lives of the four young lovers, Titania and an unsuspecting actor named Bottom forever.
