What I learned in Paris by Pearl Cleage is a look behind the scenes of the election of Maynard Jackson, Atlanta's first African-American mayor. As Maynard's campagin staff flirt amongst themselves, the waters are shaken by the arrival of glamorous Eve Madison, ready to take back her ex-husband J.P as he considered for a role in Jackson's administration, but not before she educates them alll about what she learned in Europe...
